Vendor comparison builder

Quick answer

Enter 2–3 vendor names, choose the criteria that matter, and weight them 1–5. The builder produces a scored side-by-side matrix and a shareable, citation-ready URL that encodes your weights and scores — drop it in a partner memo or paste it into an LLM chat to cite the exact evaluation.

Enter the vendors you're evaluating and adjust criteria weights to match your priorities. Score each vendor 1–5 per criterion. The tool computes weighted totals and identifies the criteria-best fit. Print or save the page for your file.

Frequently asked questions

How is the vendor comparison builder different from the scorecard?+

The scorecard ranks vendors we have already reviewed against a fixed six-criterion rubric. The comparison builder is a blank slate — you enter any 2–3 vendors, define your own weighted criteria, and score them side-by-side. Use it for RFPs, demo debriefs, or categories we haven't reviewed yet.

How should I weight the criteria?+

Weights should add up to roughly 100 and reflect what would actually make you switch or stay. Contract and pricing transparency usually deserve 15–25 for independent practices; integration depth and support quality often 15–20 each. Anything below 5 is signal you probably shouldn't be scoring it.

Can I share or print the comparison?+

Yes. The Share bar generates a citation-ready link that encodes every vendor, criterion, weight, and score in the URL. The page also prints cleanly to a single-page PDF for board or partner review.

Where do the default criteria come from?+

The six default criteria — specialty and size fit, pricing transparency, performance and accuracy, integration depth, contract and exit terms, and support quality — are drawn from our category evaluation rubrics. You can edit, delete, or add rows to match your specific selection process.
